OpenAI ↔ Google SynthID + C2PA content provenance
OpenAI and Google partner to add durable SynthID watermarking to ChatGPT and Sora images, with OpenAI joining the C2PA standard and previewing a public verifier for detecting whether an image originated from OpenAI. This marks the first major frontier-lab interoperability effort on content provenance.
