Hyundai completes full Boston Dynamics buyout
Hyundai Motor Group acquired SoftBank’s remaining 9.65% stake in Boston Dynamics for $325M in late June 2026, reaching full ownership at a ~$3.4B valuation. The 5th-gen Atlas debuted publicly at the FIFA World Cup on July 5, 2026, with external commercial availability planned for 2027 and Georgia Metaplant deployment in 2028.
