Anthropic ↔ AMD (up to 2 GW of Instinct MI450)
Anthropic will deploy up to 2 GW of AMD Instinct MI450 Series (MI455X) GPUs in Helios rack-scale systems with EPYC "Venice" CPUs, Pensando networking, and ROCm, with the first gigawatt starting in H1 2027. AMD commits up to $5 billion in strategic equity and multi-year engineering collaboration, building on Anthropic's existing MI355X usage to diversify hardware across TPU, Trainium, and SpaceX Colossus capacity.
